Quick answer

Paul closes with exhortations to rejoice, be restored, be encouraged, agree, and live in peace, promising that the God of love and peace will be with them. It matters because pursuing unity and holiness brings the experienced presence of God.

Overview

These final commands gather the letter's concerns into a call to joyful, restored, peaceful fellowship. The promise that 'the God of love and peace will be with you' links God's presence to their obedience. It is a fitting, hopeful end that points the divided church toward reconciliation in Christ.
