Quick answer

God hears Manasseh's plea, restores him to his kingdom in Jerusalem, and Manasseh comes to know that Yahweh is God. Sincere repentance meets with God's restoring grace.

Overview

The Lord is 'entreated' by him, accepting his prayer and returning him to his throne. The result is true knowledge: 'Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.' This restoration foreshadows the gospel pattern in which God receives the penitent and grants saving knowledge of Himself through Christ (cf. Luke 15; 1 Timothy 1:15-16).
