Quick answer

They are told they will not need to fight, but to stand firm and see the LORD's salvation.

Overview

God promises to win the victory while His people simply trust and watch. 'Stand still and see the salvation of Yahweh' captures the posture of faith. This anticipates the gospel, where salvation is God's work received, not our achievement earned.
