Quick answer
A man already circumcised when converted need not try to undo it, and an uncircumcised convert need not get circumcised. Your bodily condition is irrelevant to standing with God.
Overview
Paul applies the "stay as you are" rule to the most charged ethnic-religious marker in his world. Jew or Gentile, the outward sign carries no weight for the believer's salvation. This anticipates his point in the next verse and reflects the gospel truth that in Christ such distinctions no longer define one's standing before God (cf. Galatians 5:6).
