• Gen 4:17Cain knew his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

• Deut 21:2then your elders and your judges shall come out, and they shall measure to the cities which are around him who is slain.
• Deut 21:3It shall be that the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn’t been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke.

• Josh 8:13So they set the people, even all the army who was on the north of the city, and their ambush on the west of the city; and Joshua went that night into the middle of the valley.

• Josh 8:20When the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way. The people who fled to the wilderness turned back on the pursuers.
• Josh 8:21When Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and killed the men of Ai.
• Josh 8:22The others came out of the city against them, so they were in the middle of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side. They struck them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.
• Josh 8:27Israel took for themselves only the livestock and the goods of that city, according to Yahweh’s word which he commanded Joshua.
• Josh 8:29He hanged the king of Ai on a tree until the evening, and at sundown Joshua commanded, and they took his body down from the tree, and threw it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raised a great heap of stones on it that remains to this day.
• Josh 9:17The children of Israel traveled and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath Jearim.

• Josh 13:28This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and its villages.
• Josh 13:30Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.
• Josh 13:31Half Gilead, Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the children of Machir according to their families.
• Josh 14:4For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim. They gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their livestock and for their property.

• Josh 16:9together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
• Josh 17:9The border went down to the brook of Kanah, southward of the brook. These cities belonged to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh. The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook, and ended at the sea.

• Josh 19:8and all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.
• Josh 19:15Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:16This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:22The border reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:29The border turned to Ramah, to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah. It ended at the sea by the region of Achzib;
• Josh 19:30Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:35The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,
• Josh 19:38Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:48This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.
• Josh 19:50According to Yahweh’s commandment, they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived there.
• Josh 20:2“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Assign the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you by Moses,
• Josh 20:4He shall flee to one of those cities, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city, and declare his case in the ears of the elders of that city. They shall take him into the city with them, and give him a place, that he may live among them.
• Josh 20:6He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days. Then the man slayer shall return, and come to his own city, and to his own house, to the city he fled from.’”
• Josh 20:9These were the appointed cities for all the children of Israel, and for the alien who lives among them, that whoever kills any person unintentionally might flee there, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stands trial before the congregation.
• Josh 21:2They spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “Yahweh commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for our livestock.”
• Josh 21:3The children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of Yahweh, these cities with their suburbs.
• Josh 21:4The lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. The children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had thirteen cities by lot out of the tribe of Judah, out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin.
• Josh 21:5The rest of the children of Kohath had ten cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.
• Josh 21:6The children of Gershon had thirteen cities by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, out of the tribe of Asher, out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
• Josh 21:7The children of Merari according to their families had twelve cities out of the tribe of Reuben, out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun.
• Josh 21:8The children of Israel gave these cities with their suburbs by lot to the Levites, as Yahweh commanded by Moses.
• Josh 21:9They gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are mentioned by name:
• Josh 21:12But they gave the fields of the city and its villages to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
• Josh 21:13To the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the man slayer, Libnah with its suburbs,
• Josh 21:16Ain with its suburbs, Juttah with its suburbs, and Beth Shemesh with its suburbs: nine cities out of those two tribes.
• Josh 21:18Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs: four cities.
