A man from the tribe of Judah(?) living before Israel's Monarchy, only mentioned at 1Ch.4.17) only referred to as Shammai (שַׁמַּי); son of Mered(?) and Bithiah; a brother of Miriam and Ishbah; half-brother of: Jered(?), Heber(?) and Jekuthiel(?).
