A man from the tribe of Levi living at the time of Egypt and Wilderness, first mentioned at Exo.6.18) referred to as Amram (עַמְרָם), or Amramite (עַמְרָמִי); son of Kohath; a brother of Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel; husband of Jochebed; father of Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
