Genesis 6–9
Human wickedness brings a watery de-creation; Noah, the ark, and a covenant of preservation.
The flood is portrayed as a reversal of creation — the waters above and below return — and then a new beginning as the dove finds dry land. God's covenant with Noah, sealed by the rainbow, promises he will not again destroy the earth this way, holding back judgment so redemption can unfold.
