Abraham
Genesis 12–25
God calls Abram, promises land, descendants, and blessing to all nations, and tests his faith.
With Abraham the Bible's storyline turns from a problem (the scattered, cursed nations) toward its solution: one family through whom "all the families of the earth shall be blessed." The Abraham narrative is the seedbed of covenant, faith reckoned as righteousness (15:6), circumcision, the promise of Isaac, and the binding of Isaac (ch. 22) — a mountain, a son, and a substitute ram.
