Overview
Continuing the metaphor of the unfaithful wife, God says her garments and 'beautiful jewels', symbols of the blessings He had given, will be taken away. The stripping motif echoes earlier in Ezekiel where God had clothed and adorned Jerusalem (chapter 16); now the gifts are removed. It is a sobering reminder that every good thing is a stewardship from God, not a possession to be flaunted in rebellion.
