About & Methodology
Limitless Word is a Bible study companion, not a Bible reader. You read wherever you already read; you come here the moment a passage makes you stop and wonder. The text is an anchor — the product is everything around it: the answers to the questions reading provokes, layered from a one-line gist to a scholarly dig.
Translations
Phase 0 stores three public-domain texts in full:
- World English Bible (WEB) — the default; modern English, genuinely public domain.
- King James Version (KJV) — the traditional toggle (public domain in the US).
- Berean Standard Bible (BSB) — modern and readable, dedicated to the public domain (CC0).
Copyrighted modern translations (ESV, NIV, NASB, CSB) are not bulk-stored. Where licensing allows, they may be added later via their official APIs or deep links. The BSB and NET Bible give a modern, readable text with no licensing cost in the meantime.
Cross-references & the web
The >340,000 cross-references come from OpenBible.info (a Treasury-of-Scripture-Knowledge derivative), used under CC-BY and ranked by community votes. They seed the connection layer; typed links (quotation/fulfillment, same person or place, shared themes, type/antitype trails) are layered on in later phases.
On debated questions
Authorship, dating, and canon boundaries are debated; we say so rather than asserting one answer. Denominational readings are presented side by side, each stated as that tradition would state it, sourced and labeled — not endorsed. Typological and Trinitarian readings are labeled as the confessional Christian readings they are. AI-assisted material is clearly marked and human-reviewed before it touches sensitive content.
Every external dataset gets a license check logged here as content grows. Nothing copyrighted is bulk-stored.
